in this article by carol eisenberg captioned 'victoria reggie kennedy said to be husband’s pick as successor' appearing on muckety today, the author points out that the tulane legislative scholarships have long been abused by the criminal network. a practice that continues to this day.
Judge Reggie, who would later become a kingmaker in Louisiana Democratic politics, managed the presidential campaigns in Louisiana for John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and, in 1980, Ted Kennedy. His purchase of a summer house on Nantucket in 1982 further cemented ties between the two families.
He became the confidante of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards, and availed himself of legislative scholarships targeted at needy students that allowed all six of his children, including Vicki, to attend Tulane University tuition free, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported in 1995.
Reggie, a longtime friend of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards, told the paper he had done nothing wrong.
"It was a perfectly legal thing to do, so I availed myself of it," he said then.
(The scholarships’ other beneficiaries have included the children of former Senators John B. Breaux and J. Bennett Johnston, both Democrats, as well as Representatives Jimmy Hayes, a Democrat, Robert L. Livingston and Richard H. Baker, Republicans.)
In 1992, Judge Reggie was also convicted of defrauding a failed savings and loan in federal district court in Louisiana, and sentenced to 120 days of home detention and fined $30,000. ~ read more
an edwin edwards google news alert takes us to this very interesting blog named 'slabbed.'
according to their about page:
slabbed began as the Insurance Issues Forum, a thread on the Clarion Ledger’s Story Chat and grew to 35 pages of information and over 38,000 page views before becoming a blog.the post on slabbed that our edwin edwards news alert sent us to, is about the perdiagao v adams and reese complaint (which they have a copy of in .pdf to download) and how the complaint details former louisiana insurance commissioner robert wooley's involvement.
Actually, slabbed began when two residents of Katrina Ground Zero – Topbanana and Coastal Cowboy - survived the extraordinary experience of having their homes reduced to slabs by the largest natural disaster in this nation’s history.
Our readers may remember Weiss v Allstate attorney Richard Trahant occasionally stops in to chat with us. Today, he dropped by with the mother of all tips, the case of Perdiago v Adams & Reese L.L.P. et al filed Tuesday in New Orleans which we have added to our legal pages. This is a very long post but I hope our readers will take the time to read it and consider the implications of the misconduct alleged against Adams and Reese.
I did some googling and found this case had a little something for everyone and featured all the usual suspects, Edwin Edwards, indicted US Representative William Jefferson, former Mayor Marc Morial, disgraced former Orleans Parish DA (and former Clinton era NOLA US Attorney) Eddie Jordan, Robert Guidry plus a entire gaggle of local political figures. Frankly, reading the RICO complaint against Adams and Reese coupled with the news stories has me convinced this case is huge in its implications.
Not one to doubt a good tip from a very reliable source I followed Rick’s instructions and skipped straight to paragraph 71 of the complaint. The allegations made against former Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Robert Wooley are nothing short of sensational...click here or link to read more

senate insurance committee kills baton rouge rino erich ponti's hb1312 which would have drastically raised mandatory automobile insurance premiums
according to ms. trudy fourmy a secretary to the state senate insurance committee, the committee locked in a 2 - 2 vote this morning effectively killing rino erich ponti's bill. two senators voting no to higher automobile insurance premiums were troy hebert and gerald long and so we thank them.
as you might remember hb1312 is strongly supported by district 25's ultra-liberal trial lawyer, representative chris roy, jr. who actually voted for the bill twice. once when it came before the house insurance committee and again in the house final passage vote. rep. roy also has his own bill hb1291 filed, presumably waiting in the wings should hb1312 fail which it has.
hb1312's defeat in committee today is good news for 1.5 million of louisiana's drivers already suffering with $4.00+ a gallon gasoline and diesel and related price increases.

on thursday 22 may 2008 we posted a video and our comments on an incident we observed in the 20 may 2008 city of alexandria, la. city council meeting.
around sixty-one minutes after our post we received a rather snide comment from a mayoral assistant (executive branch) he takes the typical bureaucratic approach by bringing up silly rules, regulations, "protocol," etc and in which he makes excuses for the legislative branch and seems to suggest that since one of the subjects of our post - an alexandria citizen, mr. houston rax, had "addressed the council during the previous three meetings," that somehow that should disqualify him from addressing the council in this instance. looks like a citizen can wear his or her welcome out in a building that they paid and are paying for.
apparently, the legislative and the executive branches of alexandria city government have forgotten that it is the people that they serve and not the other way around it seems they think that just because a citizen is addressing subjects that city hall would rather not be reminded of -- then that citizen should be ignored and written off as a miscreant etc. (protocol breaker lol)
now what would it have hurt, that when mr. rax mentioned utility bills for councilman fowler to have simply said something like "yes sir mr. rax we are still working hard on solving the problem and thank you for keeping the pressure on us." instead of councilman fowler's trying to make the citizen look foolish with his "compared to what?" statement?
anyway, the mayoral assistant chided us for not paying attention, so we decided that we better pay attention and imagine our surprise, when, upon further investigation we learned that the city is dedicating considerable time and tax-payer resources to almost hourly monitor our blog, which doesnt make any sense since the city doesnt take us seriously anyway. we're sure that the mayoral assistants promoting his own blog on city time was an oversight.
which ultimately resolves to coaas.org which is a domain registered to the city of alexandria, la.

the links provided in crashing vor's comment including to todays times-picayune article - which is a must read, seem to strongly suggest that jimmy 'the wizard' faircloth (who wants to be a federal judge - bad idea!) is a tool to and/or in bed with the global zionist crime network.
Coushattas screwed again?
Robert Travis Scott has a front-page story in today's Times-Picayune about bad investments, conflicts of interest and the Coushatta Indian tribe.
The Coushattas were the tribe that dropped $32 million on the services of Jack Abramoff and Mike "I want all their MONEY!" Scanlon to prevent the Tigua tribe in Texas from competing with the Coushattas in the casino business--while the Tiguas were paying Abramoff and Scanlon to lobby to get their casino open.
This is one of the few crimes for which Abramoff was actually investigated and prosecuted, thanks to the cover-up of Abramoff's dealings by Senate Indian Affairs Committee chair John McCain, now the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.
Since that embarassment, the Coushattas have been persuaded by their former lawyer and financial advisor Jimmy Faircloth to invest $30 million into MainNet, a bankrupt Israeli tech company that specializes in routing communications signals over AC power lines.
The tribe's money has been used to get the company out of hock and to repay, with profit, earlier investors. Part of it goes, presumably, to Faircloth's brother Brandon, who Faircloth persuaded the company to hire as a salesman in 2006.
Faircloth no longer serves as the tribe's attorney or adviser, having liquidated his share of the law firm which had the Coushatta contract.
He needed to dissolve all ties to the Louisiana tribe's businesses because those relationships would be an obvious conflict in his new position: chief counsel--top lawyer--for the state's new governor, Bobby Jindal.
Who is, we know, currently enjoying ribs and veep vetting at the ranch of presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain.
If you can keep track of this stuff, you're smarter than me.

as usual, eric hufschmid provides a thought-provoking analysis of current events and the likely role that the zionist crime network plays in them.
Unfortunately, the current presidential candidates are not what I would consider proper leaders. I don't know much about Michelle or Barack Obama, but my impression of both of them is they're unhappy, and Michelle seems slightly bitter.
I suspect that Barak Obama is one of those unhappy people, and that he was promoted to be a Senator in Illinois because the Jews considered him to be one of their puppets. And my impression of Michelle is that she's also unhappy and has come to the conclusion that her misery is the result of discrimination by Caucasians.
Unhappy people should never be allowed into positions of leadership because they're not interested in helping society. Their primary goal is to relieve themselves of their misery.
Unhappy businessmen tend to struggle for money, and some of them turn their business into military units that try to conquer other businesses so that they can titillate themselves over the thought that they're important men who are high on the social hierarchy.
Unhappy government leaders sometimes struggle for money, but most of them seem struggle for fame and feelings of importance. They like to titillate themselves with the thought that people all over the world admire and worship them.
Our corporate boardrooms and government offices are becoming insane asylums for men who don't enjoy life, and who are desperately struggling to relieve themselves of their misery.
And why do Barak and Michelle Obama want to be president? Do either of them have any intelligent suggestions on how to make America or the world a better place? Michelle only seems interested in stopping the discrimination that she believes black people are suffering from. But does she have any plans to stop the discrimination that comes from black people?
And what does Barak Obama consider himself to be? Does he consider himself to be an American, or does he consider himself to be an African who is a victim of racial discrimination by those nasty Caucasians? Or is he like the Caucasian liberals who imagine that their victims of aristocrats or corporations? And we know nothing about his mother. If she's Jewish, he may consider himself to be a Jewish African.
Most people didn't even know of Barak Obama until the Jews began promoting him as a presidential candidate. My assumption is that Israel wanted Hillary Clinton to become president, and so they selected Obama as her opposition so that they could push aside all of the other candidates, and create a contest between Clinton and Obama.
I don't think Israel realized how many people are disgusted with the Clintons, however. Today the Liberal Jews seem to be panicking that Obama will be elected. Even though Obama may be a Jewish puppet, he may not be as willing to follow orders as the Clintons.
Have you noticed the tremendous attempt today by Jews to ruin Obama's reputation? They're trying to expose him as a homosexual drug user, and as an angry African-American who identifies more with Africa than America.
On May 12, 2008, one of the black leaders, Pastor James Manning, appeared on the Jeff Rense radio show to criticize Obama. That should be considered proof that Pastor Manning also works for the Jews. http://atlah.org/
It's important to note that all of the black Americans who get favorable publicity by the Jewish media are disgusting people with miserable attitudes. The Jews promote only the black people who encourage pouting or anger over the slavery of hundreds of years ago, and they encourage black people to imagine that there's nothing they can do to help themselves.
As far as I know, Bill Cosby is the only famous black person who may be an exception to this rule. Cosby seems to encourage black people to behave in a respectable manner instead of pouting or hating. But Cosby's son died mysteriously, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Jews killed his son in order to let Cosby know that he better keep quiet.
The Jews don't want people like Cosby in a leadership position. The Jews want miserable, disgusting black people as leaders. You should assume that anybody who gets favorable publicity by the Jewish media is a criminal, a pervert, or a freak of some sort, and that he's also a Jewish puppet. ~ read more

Tactics Continued Against Detainees
By Carrie Johnson and Josh White
Washington Post Staff Writers
Wednesday, May 21, 2008; Page A01
Complaints by FBI agents about abusive interrogation tactics at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and other U.S. military sites reached the National Security Council but prompted no effort to curb questioning that the agents considered ineffective and possibly illegal, according to an internal audit released yesterday.
Reports that Guantanamo detainees were being subjected to extreme temperatures, religious abuses and nude interrogation were conveyed at White House meetings of senior officials in 2003, yet these questionable tactics remained in use, a lengthy report by the Justice Department's inspector general concluded.
In one instance, colleagues of then-Attorney General John D. Ashcroft reported that he personally aired concerns about Defense Department strategy toward a particular detainee with Condoleezza Rice, then the national security adviser, while other Justice managers shared similar fears with the council's legal adviser in November 2003, the report said.
Ashcroft declined to be interviewed by investigators, so it remains uncertain how aggressively he pressed the issue, according to the report. read more

When Yosuke the parrot flew out of his cage and got lost, he did exactly what he had been taught – recite his name and address to a stranger willing to help.
Police rescued the African grey parrot two weeks ago from a neighbor's roof in the city of Nagareyama, near Tokyo. After spending a night at the station, he was transferred to a nearby veterinary hospital while police searched for clues, local policeman Shinjiro Uemura said.
He kept mum with the cops, but began chatting after a few days with the vet.
"I'm Mr. Yosuke Nakamura," the bird told the veterinarian, according to Uemura. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.
"We checked the address, and what do you know, a Nakamura family really lived there. So we told them we've found Yosuke," Uemura said.
The Nakamura family told police they had been teaching the bird its name and address for about two years.
But Yosuke apparently wasn't keen on opening up to police officials.
"I tried to be friendly and talked to him, but he completely ignored me," Uemura said.

the citizen wanted to touch upon the city's continued high utility rates. the city of alexandria's utility bill crisis was all the rage in the local media last year. however, this year it seems to have dropped off the media's radar.
one of the most asinine statements we've heard coming from a city councilman was when councilman chuck fowler interrupted the citizen to ask him how was alexandria's utility rates high "compared to what?"
councilman fowler, who according to the la. sec'y of states website is up for reelection this year, must have forgotten the umpteen meetings the city has had to discuss their utility bill crisis, such as this one last summer presented by then acting utility department director marcus connella to the utility committee, which councilman fowler chaired.
or how about the city's commission on utility reform and equity [c.u.r.e.] a citizens advisory group tasked with finding answers to alexandria's utility bill crisis.
apparently, the city council is more interested in suppressing and browbeating citizens who desire to speak out about real quality of life issues they are facing, than they are in being reminded of and discussing their inability to solve them.

The Conservative Movement: From Failure to Threat
By Paul Craig Roberts
UC Berkeley tenured law professor John Yoo epitomizes the failure of the conservative movement in America. Known as "the torture professor," Yoo penned the Department of Justice (sic) memos that gave a blank check to sadistic Americans to torture detainees at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. The human rights violations that John Yoo sanctioned destroyed America’s reputation and exposed the Bush Regime as more inhumane than the Muslim terrorists. The acts that Yoo justified are felonies under US law and war crimes under the Nuremberg standard.
Yoo’s torture memos are so devoid of legal basis that his close friend and fellow conservative member of the Federalist Society, Jack Goldsmith, rescinded the memos when he was appointed head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel.
Yoo’s extremely shoddy legal work and the fervor with which he served the evil intentions of the Bush Regime have led to calls from distinguished legal scholars for Yoo’s dismissal from Berkeley’s Boalt Hall.
I sympathize with the calls for Yoo’s dismissal. In the new edition of The Tyranny of Good Intentions, my coauthor and I write: "Liberty has no future in America if law schools provide legitimacy to those who would subvert the US Constitution."
However, John Yoo is but the tip of the iceberg. Scapegoating Yoo diverts attention from a neoconservative movement that has become the greatest enemy of the US Constitution.
In theory conservatives adore the Constitution and seek to protect it with appeals to "original intent." In practice conservatives hate the Constitution as the protector of homosexuals and abortionists. Conservatives regard civil liberties as coddling devices for criminals and terrorists. They see the First Amendment as a foolish protection for sedition. The neoconservative magazine, Commentary, has called for the New York Times to be prosecuted for informing Americans that President Bush was illegally spying on them without warrants.
The conservative assault on the US Constitution is deeply entrenched. The Federalist Society, an organization of Republican attorneys from which the Republican Party chooses its Justice Department appointees and nominees to the federal bench, was organized as an assault on the checks and balances in the Constitution.
The battle cry of the Federalist Society is "energy in the executive." The society has its origin in Republican frustrations from the days when Republicans had a "lock on the presidency," but had their agenda blocked by a Democratic Congress. The Federalist Society set about producing rationales for elevating the powers of the executive in order to evade the checks and balances the Founding Fathers wrote into the political system.
With the Bush Regime we have seen President Nixon’s claim that "it’s not illegal if the President does it" carried to new heights. With the complicity of Democrats, Bush and Cheney have appointed attorneys general who have elevated the presidency above the law.
Just as liberals used judicial activism in the federal courts to achieve their agenda, the conservatives are using the Department of Justice to concentrate power in the executive branch in order to achieve their agenda. In America the Constitution has no friends. It is always in the way of one agenda or the other and, thus, always under threat.
For now, however, the threat is from the right. Conservatives have confused loyalty to country, which is loyalty to the Constitution, with loyalty to the Bush Regime. It is purely a partisan loyalty based in emotion--"you are with us or against us."
When I was a young man conservatives were frustrated that facts, reason and analysis could not penetrate liberal emotion. Today facts, reason and analysis cannot penetrate conservative emotions. When I write a factual column describing how we have been deceived into wars that are clearly not in our interest, self-described conservatives indignantly write to me: "If you hate America so much, why don’t you move to Cuba!" Conservatives have become so intellectually pathetic that they regard my defense of civil liberties as an anti-American act.
Today’s conservatives are so poorly informed that they cannot understand that to lose the Constitution is to lose the country.
John Yoo was a willing accomplice of inhumane and illegal acts. But his greatest crime is that he was a willing participant in the Bush Regime’s assault on the Constitution, which protects us all. If Yoo is to be held accountable, what about George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and his aides, attorneys general Gonzales and Mukasey, Yoo’s Justice Department boss, now federal judge Bybee, Rumsfeld, Rice, Hadley, and the legion of neocon brownshirts that comprise the regime’s subcabinet? Is Yoo any more culpable than anyone else who served the corrupt, evil, and anti-American Bush Regime?
The ease with which the Bush Regime has run roughshod over the law and Constitution indicates that the brownshirt mentality to which many Americans have succumbed has sufficient attractive power to cause a professor from one of the country’s great liberal institutions to serve the cause of tyranny. The conservative movement has produced a cadre of brownshirts that might yet succeed in destroying the American Constitution.

Heart experts warn Tasers deadly
Suzanne Fournier, The Province
Published: Tuesday, May 20, 2008
Tasers can cause fatal cardiac arrest and are even more dangerous if the subject is agitated, stressed and experiencing pain from the high-voltage device, two top Vancouver heart specialists said Tuesday.
Dr. Michael Janusz, a heart surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC told the Braidwood Inquiry into Taser use Tuesday that "Tasers almost certainly can cause cardiac arrest in humans, particularly in people with underlying heart disease."
Janusz told retired judge Tom Braidwood that the risk of dying after being Tasered is similar to the chances of dying after major heart surgery
Janusz quoted San Francisco cardiologist Dr. Zian Tseng's findings of about "1.4 per cent mortality for individuals subdued by police using a Taser.. (which) is similar to the mortality risk of a coronary artery bypass operation."
And Dr. Charles Kerr, a "cardiac electrophysiologist" at St. Paul's and UBC, said that police should routinely carry defibrillators if they plan to employ Tasers and should be trained to initiate resuscitation after using the Taser on someone who is then unresponsive.
Kerr said that although the Taser may be "better than a bullet" and may have its place in policing, he is also concerned about the potential effect Tasering could have on the approximately 35,000 British Columbians who have either a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).
Outside the inquiry, Janusz said he had viewed the bystander video of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski being Tasered at the Vancouver airport and dropping to the floor seconds later, jerking his legs spasmodically and then falling motionless.
"That was really awful, a tragedy," said Janusz.
The inquiry continues Tuesday afternoon with the evidence of a New Westminster police sergeant.
Braidwood is inquiring into Taser use by municipal police, sheriffs and corrections officers and in the fall, will hold a further inquiry into Dziekanski's death, once the RCMP investigations are complete.
heres another liar, who all during the 2007 louisiana gubernatorial campaign, relentlessly and unashamedly, shilled for and sexed up piyush "bobby" jindal.
however, today just 128 days after piyush was sworn in, mr. crouere writes: "the bottom line is that jindal was not the conservative that many people believed he was." well duh!! if mr. crouere was an honest commentator and journalist, then he would have investigated piyush's congressional voting record. he would have already known that piyush is a fraud and would have reported same. mr. crouere isnt interested in truly investigating candidates, mr. crouere is more concerned with promoting personalities than he is in advancing true conservative/republican core-values.
another dead giveaway that piyush was and is a fraud was how piyush always said the same things over and over again and never answered a direct question. today mr. crouere writes: "what has interested jindal the most is the opportunity to be interviewed by national media outlets, such as the glenn beck show or the tonight show with jay leno. at the same time, jindal has been reluctant to engage the statewide media and answer questions from local reporters."
now these same bunch of liars, who were so easily "tricked" and "misled" by piyush to start with, want to be on the forefront of criticizing piyush.
the question is why? why should we believe and trust these commentators now, when they have already shown to be just a bunch of useful idiots?

hb1312 louisiana state house votes to impose higher mandatory automobile liability insurance rates on the peoplebecause baton rouge, rino erich ponti, has learned that "louisiana has the lowest minimums in the nation," which would seem to be a good thing, instead, the louisiana state house in a time of soaring gas and food prices and severe economic uncertainty, has taken it upon themselves (because the insurance industry did not want a rate increase) to spit in the face of at least 1.5 million louisiana drivers (around 48% of all the states licensed drivers) by voting to increase their mandatory automobile insurance premiums. we suppose that if every other state was jumping off a cliff legislative nutters like the fifty-seven listed above would be waiting in line for their turn to jump too.
central louisianaians who will face zooming insurance premiums, should this bill pass the senate and be signed into law by the governor can, at the ballot box, "thank" ultra liberal and trial lawyer, chris roy, jr., and scary billy chandler because they voted for it.
rep. chris roy, jr., even has his own bill [hb1291] to raise automobile insurance premiums waiting in the wings in case this one failed.
amazingly, rep. chris hazel and herbert dixon voted against this garbage and we certainly thank them.

THE TOWN TALK: REDLIGHTS, CAMERAS, ACTION!
(In response to Cynthia Jardon's latest piece)
By Todd C. Elliott
Cynthia Jardon should be fired.
She should not be relieved of her duties as editorial page editor for The Town Talk. She should be terminated for her capacity as propaganda minister for Redflex. I find it alarming that Cynthia Jardon decided not to stand with the readers of The Town Talk and the people of Alexandria and Pineville. She has, instead, sided with the lobbyists and corporate lawyers of the foreign based company Redflex. How very “slant-tastic” of her.
According to Cynthia Jardon we all deserve to be under constant surveillance in an age where identity theft is on the rise. Also on the rise is the “soccer mom-ification” of this great country. Cynthia Jardon would have one believe that we, as Americans, must sacrifice our “rights” (not privileges) to due process of the law. And we must do so in the name of safety.
Fact: Currently there are two parishes involved in litigation over the “Scameras” or “The Cop-arazzi”. Residents of Jefferson and Lafayette Parish everyday are joining a federal, class action lawsuit which claims violations of U.S. Constitution, Louisiana State Constitution, Uniform Traffic Laws and State Statutes. Is this what Alexandria needs? Trust me, it will come.
Cynthia Jardon did state one fact. “Disregarding the law is the path to chaos.”
I agree that if our governments and foreign companies do not follow the law it is indeed a travesty. Constitutional violations are serious offenses. But if these companies and governments do not break the law, then we have nothing to worry about. It will be up to a judge to make that decision, not any citizen armed with a camera. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not in court. Just because someone can take my picture, does not make me or anyone else guilty in this country. We still have a right to due process, not one hour processing of film developing. As she claimed in her editorial, “we should install them and use the images to prosecute offenders.”
Cynthia Jardon knows nothing of the process involved after your “invitation to extortion” is received in the mail from the camera vendor. In fact no one in Alexandria has witnessed the abomination of justice that occurs. After one requests a hearing to testify on their own behalf, it appears to be a rigged game my friends. It is a game that has nothing to do with safety. We have witnessed this travesty in Lafayette.
As far as governments making money, Cynthia Jardon seems to be all for that. It used to be that government made their money from taxes. Would it not be fair to call this a new tax on the people? And would Cynthia Jardon be in favor of more new taxes if they were dedicated to police and firemen?
Cynthia Jardon spoke highly of individual, personal responsibility yet she wishes to bring in a third party company to do the job of law enforcement. Does Cynthia Jardon stand for the outsourcing of law enforcement? Does Cynthia Jardon support law enforcement for profit? There is a path to chaos there as well.
The fact is we can pay our police and firemen. We just need a government that is more fiscally conservative and responsible. Government is not a business, nor is Government in business to make a profit.
The simpler fix, of course, is to adjust for longer yellow light times. That is merely one conclusion of a 20 year study from the National Motorists Association.
I am innocent until proven guilty.

then the first comment we saw in that thread was someone promoting 'republicans for obama' lol.
I would like to invite Republicans to join me and many other lifelong Republicans in our support of Barck Obama. Please come to our website and read heartfelt stories by many Republicans about why they support a Democrat for 2008.
